Since the beginning of 2024, most of my work has been ghostwriting. So that means NDAs. This is my home for mini-monthly updates.

Paro create specialist software and hardware for hydraulic enginners.
They took the opportunity of a rebuild to rebrand.
As an expert, I asked: can their copy exist a bad-faith reader?

In our second of two summer Creative Visionaries, Hypha Studios invited us to the iconic One Poultry in the heart of the City of London.
With huge thanks to our guests, Will Jennings, Ben Cross, Tami Masunda and Nathalie Bergvall.

Sharing tips and love about writing is important to me. I know not everyone is ready to invest, so my fortnightly newsletter will help you to find your brand voice.
Two months in and I dropped the habit. But I did start HRT in July, so thank you NHS for the amazing medicine, banishing my brain fog, and helping me be my best.

Talking about space, place and ownership with Georgia Wesley, Khalid Wildman and Russell Royer and Julian McIntosh for Creative Visionaries was a highlight of July.
As co-host, I was able to hold this discussion about London, commerce, and culture. Huge thanks to the whole Creative Visionaries team.

On 15th July, I talked to the Institute of Accountants and Bookkeepers about why the most effective brand voice is usually the one a firm already has, and how to find it.
The main takeaway: updating your brand's voice can start today, and it doens't have to cost a lot of money. The guide to finding your voice was popular, and I'd love to share it with you.

Ahh, the life of a ghostwriter! All the graft and none of the glory.
From 2024-2025, I ghostwrote a workplace psychology book for one of the nicest, most interesting people I've had the fortune to work with.
The book will be published next year. But, look at this quote. The book is based on my client's work, intelligence, and point of view.
And I'm proud I articulated her voice, experiences, and brought it to life so she can achieve her personal and professional goals.

Not once, but twice, the wise editorial team at Freelancer Magazine decided to let me loose in their pages.
First off, I was talking about LinkedIn and not getting burned out. I'm still working on that one.
I also shared 'There's Something Going on in Kent', a group for freelancers and independents in Kent. If you're local, drop me an email and I'll add you to the chat.
Writing for yourself is one of the most cringe-inducing activities known to god and man. But with the quardruple whammy of gen-AI, the Iran War, the upcoming recession and global uncertainty decimating markets, budgets are shrinking, approval times are increasing, and there's more freelancers fighting over a shrinking pool of work.

A new client! Although I can't share the name, I'm writing about classical music and teaching. Did you know I'm a not-terribly great clarinet and sax player, and Glyndebounre is one of my favourite days out?
When I file this copy I have one slot free. If your website is causing more blushes than bookings, book a call.
(Clearly this image isn't work, but I can't name the client, and I love the pic, via friend Clara xxx)

On 15th March, ITV News interviewed me about the impact of MTD ITSA for the self-employed. I'm a proud tax-payer and believer in the state. I also I wish HMRC paid more attention to Amazon, Google, Meta and their ilk, than bully-boying small business owners.
Sadly I didn't make the cut, but I did get my copy in the can in one take.
Do you think you need new copy? Are your words so lumpy that you cringe when you share your site with a lead? Is your site creating more blushes than business?
If you're starting to shudder when someone asks to see your site, take the Fables test, and learn what you might need to do next.

Life-goal achieved! Dr. Mariachiarra Restuccia invited me to lecture her second-year undergrads on the business-case for Tone of Voice work.
In the days after, students dropped into my DMs. Helping young people understand the importance of voice and words was a privilege. Next lecture? One for teachers!
